Time Flies

Time is flying by too fast and I just want to hit the pause button. People have always told me that once you have kids, time flies. I didn't believe them. I mean to a single and then married but kidless person I remember thinking that time would be the same no matter what. I was wrong. And with each kid time is going by faster. How is this possible? Ahhh my babies are already growing up too fast. I am resolved to cherish theses days. I am so thankful that God is providing for us and that I get to stay home with my babies and see and experience them.

Asher is 3 months old today. Yikes! He is getting big. Really he is. He is filling out 6 month clothing and already almost to long for some of the onsies. He is close to 15 lbs. He is so squeaky. He smiles and it is adorable. Melts my heart every time. Chad has discovered we can make him laugh and it is great. Asher can roll over from his tummy to his back. He loves his swing and will take nice long naps in it. He has discovered the joys of an exersaucer. He likes to be held and rocked by mommy. He still likes to be worn but only if he is facing out so he can see the world. And when he is fussy the sound of a hair blow dryer calms him almost immediately. We love our little guy!

Same Word: P_TT_ TRA_ _ _ _ UR _RA_ _ _

Can you guess what we've been up to?

A little Wheel of Fortune anyone?

Category is same word:

P_TT_   TRA_ _   _ _ UR   _RA_ _ _

If you guessed: "Potty Train Your Dragon" then you are correct! Maybe you will win the bonus round...

We have not been potty training any dragons as we do not own any dragons but we have started the terrifying and exhuasting process of potty training Shiloh. We have managed to stay dry yesterday and today (ok almost)! But we have not managed to stay clean so I have had to clean out underwear - which is not really a big deal since I cloth diaper. The biggest issue is that each time Shiloh has pooped his pants I have just started to feed Asher and am powerless to get him to the potty in time.

Pictured above is what I found pushed under my bedroom door while I was changing Asher's diaper. 1 slightly damp pair of Shiloh's under ware and two mittens. Shiloh had been wearing these 3 clothing items but decided he did not need them anymore.

Today we went to see "How to Train Your Dragon 2" at the theater. And as a HUGE fan of the first I was quite pleased with this movie if I do say so myself. Not as good as the first but really that is no surprise. The picture above is to show you what Shiloh and Asher do during movies. This picture was not taken today though still accurate but was taken on Tuesday at the theater when we went for the $1 movie with some friends.

Jude likes to wear pi's. Especially when we watch movies at the house. He wore these the other day when we watched the first "How to Train Your Dragon."

Shiloh rocking out his big boy under ware and being a great big brother and giving baby Asher a push in the swing. Though we need to work on not pushing so hard.

Well we are off to the pool this afternoon to cool off.

A Great Mom

Not to pat myself on the back or anything.

But this clearly qualifies me as Great mom.

What did you do today?

Of all the questions I get I think one of my most hated is, "what did you do today?" Why do I hate this because most often I feel like I can't think of what we did that seems impressive or awesome. I mean really. I did the dishes 4 times, changed 10-20 diapers, washed laundry (or diapers), picked up thousands of toys, spanked at least one of the boys, nursed Asher, bathed Shiloh and who know what else. Staying at home is not very often glamorous but I love it. Here are some random pictures of what we do.

Shiloh helping carry stuff to the car while wearing Granny's shoes.

Baby wearing. Love it. Asher likes to face out all the time now.

I saw on Facebook an idea for quiet blocks. So I tried it. You cut up pool noodles and then use them like blocks.

Castle walls that the boys built. After building they of course knocked it over. But hey it was fun.

My water wrap - to baby wear in the pool - I may be a little into baby wearing.

So sweet. Shiloh likes to hold Asher's hand in the car. They both fell asleep.

We bought a wagon. The boys love it.

Owl at the zoo.

Shiloh discovered that if he stood over the hole it would spray people.

I think he put the water in his mouth. Yuck!

You know they are tired when the sit and lay down in the middle of a splash pad.

Lone Star Yogi

Yesterday we decided to visit the Jellystone Park in Waller. It is Chad's week off from work and we had been throwing around the idea of going to SeaWorld. The only problem with going to SeaWorld is it was way to expensive for us right now. Especially when you factor in eating and gas. Not to mention the dilemma of wether to drive up and stay the night before or just make a day trip of it. Also Asher hates the car (still). So we nixed the SeaWorld plan and decided to go to Jellystone. We had a blast. It was much cheaper and the drive was under thirty minutes!

The family with Yogi!

There was a really cool put put golf so we gave it a go. Shiloh used his golf club like a big push broom. So cute.

Jude using the sweep method.

Daddy trying to show Shiloh how to gold properly.

The boys lost interest pretty quickly. They were too excited about the water park. But they did enjoy climbing the landscaping rocks the mini golf course offered.

Being two months is hard work. Mr. Asher needed lots of naps.

Daddy helping the boys float the lazy river. Poor kids slipped right through the tubes.

Chad floating.

Shiloh trying to jump in the water.

The following pictures don't really need explaining so I'm not going to :)

We had a blast. We wish that we had thought of this weeks ago and had planned to stay there. We want to go back and stay in a cabin for 2-3 nights. There was so much more to do but we were all wore out.
